Top 10 most anticipated Xbox 360 games of 2008 still to come

Even though the year is almost halfway over, Destructoid still thinks the best is yet to come for the Xbox 360 this year. Here are two different editors’ most anticipated games lists for 2008.

Although I don't agree completely with either lists, it does help keep track of all the good games coming out.

So my top 5 would be something like:
1. Fallout 3
2. Fable
3. Starwars / GTA IV (already released)
4. Ninja Gaiden II
5. Mercenaries/Resident Evil/(maybe something else here that's not on their list)

GTA 4: First impression

Well, I "finally" got the game, after 2 trips to EBGames at around 1-2AM this morning...

I've been playing it since, except for sleeping/eating and some occasional exercises. Anyway, my first impressions are that it's good, and fairly addictive (as GTA should be), but I really think the media over-hyped it. The general game mechanics are pretty much the same and it builds over GTA3 (which I have played countless hours of). So the changes, while there are a good number of them, I didn't find them to be groundbreaking and I certainly don't think it's PERFECT as the folks at IGN would have you believe.

It's still a really fun game, and I will certainly spend tons of time on it over the next 2 weeks before I head to China... Well, back to the game! =D

Update:
Both IGN and GameSpot gave this game a perfect score... here are the links for the review:

'GTA' Critics blindly decry violence

Do these critics ever give it up? GTA 4 isn't even out yet... I'll eventually write an "essay" on why video games do not induce violence (most of the time), but for now let's just keep this link.

Video Teases GTA 4 Animation Technology

New animation technology for GTA 4. So this new Euphoria thing seems much better than the old Ragdoll physics, but at the same time it would take a lot more processor power since it uses AI to determine how the movement is made and a different semi-random movement is generated for the same kind of action. Can't wait to try out GTA4 on my 360!
